Freedom is a wonderful thing. In the spiritual life, independence is a tragic thing at times. I wish that I were more dependent upon God. I hate growth, because it so often seems to come about so slowly. Why can't I grow up NOW? Same reason God didn't kick out all of the Caananites immediately when Israel entered into the land. Growth is a process, and without the experiences, the growth will not be as beneficial as it might otherwise be. Thank You, Lord for helping me to grow. I just wish some of the old things would go away so much quicker than they have! I wish they would stop trying to hold on. Stupid sin nature. Stupid flesh. Stupid me.
